Are you looking for change?
Many things bring us to counselling. For some of us, it is overwhelming emotions, such as loss or anger. For others, it is painful or restrictive marital or family relationships. Some of us seek counselling because day-to-day life feels pointless or it’s dominated by anxiety. You may long for life to be different but not know how to go about it.
Safe, confidential space...
Counselling can really help. My job is to provide you with a safe, confidential space where you feel at ease to explore the experiences which are troubling you and identify what your needs are and what must change.
As well as counselling people face to face, I am a specialist telephone counsellor. I have a particular interest in working with people living in small or rural communities and provide counselling on a wide range of issues. However, I welcome approaches from anyone for whom telephone counselling is a practical or preferred option. See Telephone Counselling for more information.
Taking the first step
Taking the first step to seek counselling can be daunting. I hope that the following pages help explain what you can expect in working with me. I offer a free, initial 30-minute appointment in which we can explore what you need and assess whether counselling with me is right for you at this point.
For more guidance on what to expect in counselling and how to choose a counsellor, please see my Useful Links page.
