Breathing Space

Breathing Space is a free and confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety. It is open 24 hours at weekends (6pm Friday – 6am Monday) and 6pm to 2am on weekdays (Monday – Thursday). Saneline provides support for anyone coping with or caring for someone with mental health issues. It is open every day of the year from 4:30pm to 10:30pm. For more information, visit or phone 0300 304 7000.

Mental Health Assessment Service

This service, based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, operates 24/7 and is an emergency mental health service. Phone 0131 537 6000.
